Lovely photos. Feeling very nostalgic. I went to Roscoe primary school and then Blackburne house institute for girls. left Liverpool when I was 19 and only ever been back for visits. No family there now; all either died or moved away. Thanks for the memories !!

Your welcome, I’ve lived here all my life, and sometimes book a hotel for the weekend, do all the tourist stuff and enjoy the night life, even though I could get a cab home, sometimes it’s nice to do things you don’t usually do, because you live here,

That's a great idea. It's changed so much since I lived there. It seemed almost cosmopolitan last time I visited. I was telling my daughters recently about how I fell asleep in the ladies loo in the cavern club. I got woken up when the bouncers were checking the place out before locking up. My friends had gone home without me so had to walk home, back to west derby .. Hay ho they were such happy days ...

I live in west derby, Liverpool is very cosmopolitan now, sometimes I don’t know where I am in some parts of town, it’s changing so fast.

It's a small world .. you'll be telling me next you went to the boys Institute, or was it the Collegiate ? The streets were out of bounds to us; We weren't allowed to look over the walls at break times either in case we saw a male !

No I lived in Garston before I was married, only moved to here in 1989. Which seems like yesterday but isn’t


Susan, I also went to Roscoe school but long before you. Also lived in Clinton Place, West Derby.
